Master Design
This beautiful Chaise Lounge caught my eye about four years ago I was looking through a coffee table book and saw a chair by Danish furniture designer Hans Jørgensen Wegner which led me to research his work and that’s when I came across this captivating work of art, I knew there and then then I had to make one. I made it with wood I had available at the time which was European Birch, I believe the original was made of Oak. It was a very rewarding project that I enjoyed very much. hope you like.
European Birch
I found, out of blind luck a rope manufacturer very near the studio. After explaining my needs he made this rope which can withstand weather and stretching and it’s also very strong. The minimum size roll was 30 times what I needed and it was still very cost effective.
One thing that really blew me out is how confortable the Chaise Lounge is. I didn’t expect that from the rope. Also it is very balanced and it fits me very well, and I’m 6’4″
